Kyle Busch’s wife Samantha detailed a couple of moments in a social media post uploaded on Tuesday that brought her comfort after her husband’s death. According to her, the two moments felt like signs from her late husband.
The first moment shared by Samantha Busch revolved around Kyle Busch’s sandals, how the family hadn’t moved them since the NASCAR icon’s death. Samantha highlighted how, for the first time since she’s been living in the house, she saw a rainbow shine across the sandals, and detailed how it felt like a sign from Kyle.
“After Brexton’s birthday party, Kyle had kicked off his sandals in our bathroom, and we never moved them. About a week after he passed, I had one of the hardest nights yet. Most of the night, I spent sobbing, wishing I could feel his arms wrapped around me one more time,” read Samantha Busch’s post
“I finally gave up on sleeping and walked into our bathroom. There, shining directly across Kyle’s sandals, was a rainbow. Not anywhere else in the bathroom, just across his sandals. I literally laid down on them and felt a bit of peace, like he was giving me a sign.”
“We’ve lived in this house for over 10 years. I’ve been awake at every hour imaginable, through every season and all kinds of weather, and I have never once seen a rainbow appear here,” she added
The second moment revolved around Kyle Busch’s private memorial service. As per the reports, the private service took place on June 2, 2026, and a public memorial is set to take place in Charlotte, but the date hasn’t been confirmed.
Samantha Busch detailed how a bird sat in her seat and looked right at her during Kyle Busch’s private memorial service. Later, the same bird was chirping around her feet during the prayer.
“The second moment happened at our church. For first time since I’ve ever attended, a bird was flying around during the entire service. At one point, it flew over to where I was sitting, tilted its head sideways, looked right at me, and then flew away,” wrote Samantha
“Later, while everyone was praying, I kept hearing a noise and thought someone’s phone was going off. I opened my eyes, and it wasn’t a phone. The bird was right by my feet, hopping along before disappearing around the corner.”
Kyle Busch’s wife Samantha mentioned how it might just be a bird and a rainbow, but to her it felt more than just a coincidence, like a sign from her late husband.
“It feels like God is reminding me that I’m not alone and that Kyle is letting me know he’s okay, that he’s close, and that somehow he’s still walking beside us,” wrote Samantha
Samantha Busch shared an emotional message as Brexton returned to racing after Kyle Busch’s demise

Kyle Busch’s son Brexton returned to racing in the Legend Cars at the Summer Shootout, where he finished P2 in the Young Lions division after being overtaken on the last lap. Samantha Busch shared an emotional message as her son returned to racing.
“Watching Brexton back at the track is both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once because there are moments when I catch a glimpse of Kyle in him, the same determination, the same passion, the same spark, and for a second it feels like a piece of him is still right here with us. These moments are incredibly hard, but they also remind me that Kyle’s story isn’t over. It lives on through the dreams he inspired and the two children he loved more than anything,” read Samantha Busch’s caption
“In the hospital, I made Kyle a promise. I promised him that I would do everything I could to help our children pursue their dreams no matter what. For Brexton, that dream is racing,” she added
Kyle Busch’s brother Kurt Busch was at the Charlotte Motor Speedway to support Brexton. Kyle’s father, Tom, also honored his son by doing an honorary lap in the No.51, which was supposed to be driven by the two-time NASCAR champion at the Summer Shootout this year.
