NASCAR fans took offense at TMZ’s latest piece on Kyle Busch’s will. The tabloid stated that Busch’s wife, Samantha, would inherit his estate, and fans dismissed the claim as standard practice and hardly newsworthy.
Busch and Samantha’s relationship has spanned 18 years. They met in 2007, began dating in 2008, and got married in 2010. Busch is survived by his wife and two children, Brexton Busch and Lennix Key Busch.
That said, TMZ reported on his will with the following headline:
EXCLUSIVE: Kyle Busch’s widow, Samantha, to inherit NASCAR driver’s estate, court docs reveal.
Here are some fan reactions to the piece:
“That a spouse of over 15 years with whom two minor children were shared is the beneficiary of the estate is not news. The Buschs just settled a lawsuit alleging that they were misled about Indexed Universal Life policies a few months before Kyle passed away. That case made it clear that they were actively making sure that the surviving spouse and kids would be taken care of if one of them died. Of course they did estate planning aligned with that. Also, there is nothing “exclusive” about publicly available court filings. This is gross and tacky TMZ,” a fan wrote.
“Why is this news? Are you going to tell us that 2 plus 2 equals 4 next?,” another commented.
“I mean it’s her estate too. What a stupid headline. 🥴 TMZ fell off man,” an X user said.
“Well, yeah. I guess maybe the media is hoping Kyle’s parents and brother try to dispute. Sounds about up their alley,” someone wrote.
“This isn’t news but nice try with the headline, it’s her estate as well!,” a fan penned.
Kurt Busch shares a heartfelt tribute for Kyle Busch

Kurt Busch recently broke his silence on his late brother, Kyle Busch. The former Cup Series champion thanked fans for their kind messages of support before taking a walk down memory lane.
He reflected on their racing journey and how they pushed each other to their best.
“I will forever be grateful for the memories we made, the lessons you taught me, and the brotherhood we shared. My heart is broken, but I know your spirit will always ride with me. Rest easy, little brother,” Busch wrote in an X post.
