Carson Hocevar will have two major global brands on his truck at Daytona International Speedway. IKEA and Best Buy will join the Spire Motorsports NASCAR Cup driver on track before the Daytona 500.
Spire Motorsports announced the big sponsorship deal and the paint scheme for the season opener of the 2026 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series with the high-profile partners on Thursday.
“Double-duty in the double-seven. Best Buy and IKEA will be represented on [Carson Hocevar]’s Chevrolet Silverado RST in Daytona!” the team wrote on X.
Neither of these brands has previously backed Hocevar as a joint sponsor. The tie up follows a retail collaboration that pairs home furnishings and major appliances, the “IKEA at Best Buy” planning and shopping experiences started in stores across Texas and Florida in 2025. The two co-primary sponsors will appear on the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado RST during the Fresh From Florida 250 on February 13.
Hocevar, who has 81 career Truck Series starts, won his most recent Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway in May last year. He made four stars in 2025 and shared the No. 7 Truck with Kyle Busch, Justin Haley, Connor Zilisch, Brenden Queen, Sammy Smith and others.
Meanwhile, he raced the No. 77 car for Spire and earned two runner-up finishes. He also picked up his first career pole position at Texas Motor Speedway and finished 23rd in the final standings.
Carson Hocevar to Start ‘Super Cool’ Partnership for Spire Motorsports in Part-Time Truck Series Return in 2026
Spire Motorsports has confirmed that it will field Nos. 7 and 77 Chevrolet Silverado RST trucks in the Truck series this season, and the team will use a rotating roster of drivers. Carson Hocevar will pilot the No. 77 truck with crew chief Chad Walter and make select starts in 2026. However, the full schedule is yet to be announced.
The 23-year-old from Portage, Michigan, will split time between Cup and Truck Series at Daytona International Speedway in the second week of February.
“Ultimately, it’s super cool to represent two major brands that I’m familiar with and have strong connections to the NASCAR fan base. My first time ever building furniture was an IKEA set, and I obviously play a lot of video games and get my electronics from Best Buy,” Carson Hocevar said in a team release.
“To have both of them connected and riding with me on the No. 77 Silverado at Daytona is really special. I’ve enjoyed watching the Spire Motorsports trucks there the last two years, and I’m excited to be part of it now.
Race weekend in Daytona will begin with practice sessions which will lead to qualifying and the 250-mile Truck event on Friday, February 13, with green flag action at 7:30 pm ET. Meanwhile, the NASCAR Cup Series first race (non-points) is scheduled to start this weekend at the Bowman Gray Stadium.
