Dusty May’s Michigan Wolverines won the 2026 NCAA Tournament on Monday. However, a day before the final, Yaxel Lendeborg and his teammates were making inappropriate comments about Victor Wembanyama, though in jest.
As much as his on-court performance grabbed fans’ attention, Lendeborg’s off-court live-streams have left amused fans. His NSFW comments on multiple things have gone viral. Most recently, he made a hilarious comment on NBA star Wembanyama, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs.
“Nobody guarding Wemby,” Yaxel said. He was then opposed by an argument that the 76ers have Joel Embiid. Yaxel turned to his friend and asked, “How big is Wemby’s?” Both friends looked in disgust as Yaxel laughed. “How big you guessing?” Yaxel and his friend continued to wonder. They asked their Michigan teammates, and both were laughing, embarrassed, and speechless. They eventually guessed and said, “double digits.”
Michigan made history, as the Wolverines won the national championship after 37 years. Yaxel Lendeborg led his side with aplomb against Dan Hurley’s UConn Huskies.
They won 69-63, which was closer than they had hoped for. They had all the control, but UConn did manage to conjure a small surge of comeback in the last few minutes, but to no avail.

In the championship game, Lendeborg took his time to find his groove. But when he did, he ended up with 13 points, hitting 4-13 from the field and 5-5 free throws. Yaxel was the main man for the Wolverines all season. He averaged 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 40 games.
Fans online found his comments on Victor Wembanyama really funny.
