The Dallas Mavericks have decided to let go of general manager Nico Harrison. Harrison had earned a controversial reputation as a general manager by trading Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this year. Dončić is widely seen as the best basketball player in the NBA at the moment.
Fans didn’t waste any time reacting to the somewhat expected set of news. The question some of them asked right away was: Is Anthony Davis lamenting the decision by the Mavericks ownership?
At least he did something good for basketball by getting Dončić out of Dallas?

Why Did The Dallas Mavericks Fire Nico Harrison?
Nico Harrison’s decision to trade Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round pick in return, in February, just as the Mavericks had missed the NBA postseason, is seen as an unforgivable sin by Dallas fans.
It came on the heels of Dončić carrying the franchise to the NBA Finals in 2024, where they lost to the Boston Celtics.
