While many are tuned in for the Final Four, several other post-season tournaments are happening which include the College Basketball Crown. Schools that did not make it to March Madness are invited to play. The tournament continues with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights taking on the Creighton Blue Jays.
Creighton had an overall record of 15-17, but one of those wins was an upset over the UConn Huskies. This tournament will also be the last hurrah for head coach Greg McDermott, who will be retiring after this season.
Meanwhile, Rutgers played in one of the most competitive conferences in college basketball, the Big Ten, and ended with a 14-19 overall record. They are seeking redemption after not being able to make it to March Madness this year after a phenomenal run the previous season.
