Darius Acuff Jr. Leads Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murray, Tyrese Maxey And More for Impressive Stat Under John Calipari

Darius Acuff Jr. is slowly and steadily becoming one of the most talked-about players in college basketball. He has been impressive in his freshman season. In 21 games so far, Darius is averaging 20.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 6.3 assists. It is no surprise that Arkansas head coach John Calipari wanted the 5-star guard, and no surprise that Darius chose Arkansas.

The Elite 2025 prospect chose Arkansas over Kansas and Michigan. He signed in November and must have loved seeing another 5-star recruit, Meleek Thomas, also choose Arkansas. Both Meleek and Darius have been behind all things good for the Razorbacks. Thomas is averaging 15.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 21 games. Calipari’s side is going through a bit of a purple patch, as they are 6-2 in the conference. The Razorbacks are unbeaten at home and currently on a three-game winning streak.

Calipari has nurtured a lot of impressive players in his illustrious career of over 44 years. Some of the best talents who have played under Calipari are Anthony Davis, Devin Booker, Karl-Anthony Towns, John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Jamal Murray, Bam Adebayo, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Despite so many talented names, Darius Acuff Jr. is the leader in one impressive stat.

Darius is making his case for the best Calipari guard ever if he keeps playing like this.
