Baba Oladotun, Dylan Mingo And More: Biggest Snubs of 2026 McDonald’s All-American

The 2026 McDonald’s All-American rosters have been released for the annual showcase of some of the best young talent in the nation. But as usual, there were some players who did not make the cut despite being deemed deserving. On Monday, Feb. 2, @recruitsnews on Instagram laid out some of the biggest snubs from this year’s McDonald’s All-American lineup.

The first player that @recruitsnews on Instagram decided to highlight is James Hubert Blake High School standout Baba Oladotun, currently the 11th-best player among all five-star prospects in the class of 2026. Oladotun has even been in the top seven, which is why his snub is seen as the most surprising. In November 2025, Oladotun made his college hoops commitment to the Maryland Terrapins.

Next up in @recruitsnews’ Instagram carousel post is Long Island Lutheran High School guard Dylan Mingo, who is ranked as the eighth-best player in the country by 247Sports. Mingo is another big name alongside Oladotun, who was snubbed from the yearly showcase, but unlike the latter, Mingo has yet to make his collegiate basketball commitment, which is why being an All-American could’ve helped him.

“Some top-ranked prospects who were left off the McDonald’s All-American roster 😳 Who’s the biggest snub? 🤔,” @recruitsnews on Instagram captioned with a couple of emojis.

The list also includes Bryson Howard, currently ranked No. 17 in the class of 2026, 21st-ranked Miles Sadler, No. 22 Qayden Samuels, 24th-ranked Cole Cloer, and No. 34 Abdou Toure. Most of these players are looked at as go-to guys in their respective teams, no matter the records of their squads in the 2025-26 campaign.
