According to the CFN Strength of Schedule, the Maryland 2024 football schedule is one of the easiest in the Big Ten this fall. Only four teams in the conference have an easier ride than the Terrapins. Clashes against the UConn Huskies and Villanova Wildcats in out-of-conference factor in, although their other non-Big Ten matchup at the Virginia Cavaliers is no gimme.
Playing five home games compared to four road games in the Big Ten also makes the Maryland 2024 football schedule easier for the Terrapins to manage. Furthermore, Locksley’s team will avoid the Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Washington Huskies. There are still tricky ties to overcome, but it could have been much worse for the Terrapins this fall.
Their Big Ten home slate kicks off in Week 2 against the Michigan State Spartans, a good time to face a team in transition. There are also winnable games against the Northwestern Wildcats and Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Hosting the USC Trojans is preferable to a West Coast road trip, and the Terrapins’ only previous win over the Iowa Hawkeyes came in College Park.

The four road games on the Maryland 2024 football schedule contain some tough assignments, headlined by a trip to Eugene to face the Oregon Ducks and the season finale against the Penn State Nittany Lions.
