Louisville Football Recruiting: Vince Marrow Hints at Another Commitment With Cryptic Message

Vince Marrow and Jeff Brohm are doing everything they can to register a historic recruiting class. The Louisville Cardinals have added some incredible players to their roster, and they have suffered a few setbacks as well.

They recently lost a four-star recruit, Malachi Brown, to the Kentucky Wildcats. Brown chose the Wildcats over Tennessee, Louisville, and Purdue. Even though it’s a huge loss, Marrow is prepared to help his team recover from it.

The executive director of player personnel and recruiting for the Cards recently made a cryptic post on X, talking about a potential incoming talent from Ohio. He also urged the Cardinals fans not to fall for the rumors floating around in the media.

“We have who we want from ohio. Lol we waiting on one more peace. Don’t listen to fake news Cards fans,” he wrote.

Some fans made fun of Marrow for misspelling “piece” in his post, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that he’s confident about the Cardinals next target. It’s unclear who it might be.

Despite the Brown setback, the Cardinals landed two more 2027 commitments earlier this week. Louisville reportedly hosted over 25 recruits in the last two weekends, and at the end of it, they secured two major players in the market.

Three-star Keontay Toomer and Three-star Kyson Mallard committed to the Louisville Cardinals and announced the same on their respective social media accounts.

Mallard had previously committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, and it seemed like he was off the market. Shockingly, he decided to decommit and reopened his recruiting process to explore all the other options.

Following his visit to Louisville at the end of May, Mallard knew that he wanted to represent the Cardinals in his college football career.

Vince Marrow’s Cardinals are On a Historic Run

If the Ohio target that Marrow talked about in his cryptic post becomes a reality, the Cardinals will have their highest-rated class in program history. They’ve been ranked inside the top 25 twice, and this year, they are already at No. 22.

Overall, the Cardinals have landed 18 commitments, setting up the program for a glorious run in the near future. As strong as their roster is already, a few more commitments will put the Cardinals among the top programs in the country.

Vince Marrow and Jeff Brohm have done a commendable job so far, and they’re far from closing the recruitment process for the program this year.
