Nick Saban and Miss Terry have had a golden marriage already, with the two being with each other for over 50 years. The couple reached another milestone on Thursday, as they celebrated 54 years of being together, and their daughter, Kristen, is there with them to celebrate such a milestone.
“54 years and counting,” she posted on her Instagram Stories.

Nick Saban and Miss Terry, then named Terry Constable, got married on on December 18, 1971. This means that they have been married since he started his coaching career at his alma mater, Kent State. Much like any coach’s wife, Miss Terry has had to endure a lot of moving, as Saban bounced around coaching jobs from Syracuse to West Virginia to Ohio State.
Terry followed Nick Saban everywhere he went, often with their kids in tow. She was with him in his first foray into the NFL and return to coaching college. She was there when he first won a national title at LSU and his move to coach the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. Terry was also there when he arrived at Alabama and led the Crimson Tide to multiple national championships.
When he made the shift from coach to TV analyst for ESPN, she was there to fully support him and is even often featured in the show. It is often her who constantly has to confirm that her husband is not unretiring and will not be returning to become a coach anytime soon.

Miss Terry Talks About Possibility Of Husband Nick Saban Returning To Coaching
Whenever Miss Terry appears on camera while her husband is working on his cushy media job as a college football analyst, she often addresses the rumors of her husband’s possible unretirement and squashes them. During an episode of ESPN’s College Game Day where her husband is a panel member, she quickly addressed the rumors and revealed that they are currently having fun in retirement.
“I have no doubt that if Nick wanted to go back to coaching, he could win his eighth national championship,” Miss Terry said. “But we’re having too much fun, and we wouldn’t want to take that opportunity away from all of our baby coaches. Like Kirby and Lane.”
She was talking about new LSU coach Lane Kiffin and Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, both of whom have worked under Saban and are now making names for themselves.
