Jordan Seaton is a big deal. The Colorado Buffaloes know it. The Maryland Terrapins know it. Verbally committed to the Buffaloes, the latest intel on Seaton and his status on Early Signing Day indicates he could stay close to home and flip from Colorado to Maryland.
Jordan Seaton Rumors: Will He Sign With Colorado Football?
The Buffaloes made quick work last offseason to change over their entire roster. With their season a tale of two halves, one pressing need popped up for their offseason plans: Rebuild their offensive line.
To start the offseason, the nation’s No. 1 offensive lineman verbally committed to head coach Deion Sanders as Seaton pledged his allegiance to Colorado on December 7, 2023.
However, ahead of the Early Signing Day, the Terps made one final late push. With his NLI unsigned, Colorado fans are certainly still waiting with bated breath for the No. 1 offensive lineman to bring his talents to Boulder.
While his commitment remains firm to Colorado, Seaton’s unsigned NLI indicates that Maryland head coach Mike Locksley and the Terps have a chance to land Seaton’s services.
A native of the DMV hailing from Washington D.C., Locksley and Co. had been on Seaton’s tape even before he transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Seaton has reportedly shown more interest in the Terps as the draw of playing close to home is big.
Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports reported that Seaton is considering playing closer to home as Early Signing Day arrives.
Seaton visited Maryland over the weekend, just days before Early Signing Day came.
MORE: What Is an NLI?
A big man, Seaton’s 6’5″, 287-pound frame is only made better by his technical skill and refined blocking ability at such a young age. He’ll be a cornerstone piece to whichever school he ultimately signs his NLI with.
Seaton could start from Day 1 with his next and right now, that could be Colorado just as easily as it could be Maryland.
