Nico Iamaleava’s net worth is one of the hot topics in College Football news, as news broke today that he has entered the transfer portal.

Iamaleava NIL Valuations Ranked by On3.
On3 has Iamaleava 12th on their NIL list at 3.1M, with Arch Manning No. 1 at 6.5 million.
In 2022, Iamaleava signed a NIL deal worth $2M per year. In 2024, he added deals with Beats by Dre and the Dairy Alliance. He had previously signed deals with Top Tier Authentics and Force Factor.
A New NIL Deal Was Being Negotiated With Tennessee.
On3’s Pete Nakos reported that the “two sides were in active contract negotiations on a new deal ahead of the spring game.”
Nakos suggested that Iamaleava wanted to amend his original Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal and push it to four million dollars.
Iamaleava then did not appear at a Vols practice one day before the Orange and White Scrimmage, and today’s news said he had entered the transfer portal.
Joel Klatt defended Iamaleava in his post on X, saying, “You may not like what Nico is doing, but it is certainly his right.”
This Tennessee/Iamaleava situation is wild and yet totally predictable! Of course this was going to happen when there are no guard rails and rules to govern the business and movement of the sports players. You may not like what Nico is doing but it is certainly his right.

Klatt also said, “I love what Heupel and Tennessee have done, which is holding their ground. This is the only way forward for these programs.”
What will Iamaleava Make Next Season?
Given his previous earnings and the fact that he is trying to renegotiate, a 4 million range for his NIL would seem reasonable.
Sure, he isn’t Arch Manning, who, as we mentioned, is tops on the On3 list, or even Carson Beck, who ranks third on On3’s list at 4.1, but his current earnings of 3.1 don’t appear to be his ceiling.

A team will grab him in the transfer portal between April 16th and 25th; we can’t see that not happening. The question is whether a new team will agree to what he believes he is worth.
