After a successful Farmers Insurance Open outing at Torrey Pines, the PGA Tour is back in Scottsdale, Arizona for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The 2026 edition of the fan-favorite event will see several big-name PGA Tour stars teeing up at TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course, which hosts the famous ‘Coliseum.’

The latest edition of the WM Phoenix Open will tee off on Thursday, February 5 with players like Cameron Young, Si Woo Kim, Hideki Matsuyama, Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth and Viktor Hovland on the field. However, World No.1 Scottie Scheffler has once again topped the PGA Tour power rankings. The four-time major champion, who began his 2026 campaign with a win at The American Express, is the outright favorite to win this weekend.

The twenty-time Tour winner, who recently eclipsed $100 million in career earnings, will be eyeing his third WM Phoenix Open title after winning twice in 2022 and 2023. Interestingly, the ace golfer will face some competition from Young, who sits behind the event favorite on the power rankings list. Si Woo Kim, who has managed top 25 finishes in his last three starts in Scottsdale, takes the third position on the list.

It is pertinent to note the competition’s reigning champion Thomas Detry will not return to defend the title following his recent move to LIV Golf. Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka, who made the opposite journey and managed a T-56 finish last week at Torrey Pines, will tee up this weekend.

    WM Phoenix Open 2026 odds

Scottie Scheffler is the outright favorite to win the WM Phoenix Open. The ace golfer is expected to continue his stellar form, which was seemingly carried over to the new year from last season. He enters the Scottsdale contest with +220 odds, according to SportsLine. Notably, World No.8 Xander Schauffele is his closest competitor despite the latter’s early exit from the Farmers Insurance Open last week.

It is pertinent to note that Schauffele suffered his first missed cut since the 2022 Masters at Torrey Pines, snapping a 72-event streak, despite being the event favorite. Now, the Ryder Cupper enters the Scottsdale weekend with +1700 odds. The top two are followed by Si Woo Kim, Hideki Matsuyama and Cameron Young, who share the third position with +2500 odds.

Viktor Hovland (+3000), Sam Burns, Ben Griffin, J.J. Spaun (+3300) and Maverick McNealy are other top names to watch this weekend.
