After the ongoing AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2026 outing, PGA Tour will travel to The Riviera Country Club in California for The Genesis Invitational. The second Signature Event of the season, hosted by Tiger Woods, will be returning to the venue or the first time in two years after being held at Torrey Pines in 2025.

Ludvig Aberg won The Genesis Invitational last year beating the likes of Maverick McNealy, Scottie Scheffler and Patrick Rodgers on the final day. The Swede returns next weekend to defend his title while all three podium placers will attempt to improve on their results from last year. It is pertinent to note that World No.1 Scheffler remains the outright favorite to win the week.

Scheffler will have some tough competition from the likes of five-time major champion Rory McIlroy and 2024 event champion Hideki Matsuyama. Owing to the event’s Signature Event status, several of the PGA Tour’s biggest names will tee it up at The Riviera for the elevated purses and FedExCup points on offer. The field will include the likes of Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Cantlay, Keegan Bradley, Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose and Xander Schauffele, among others.

For the unversed, Sahith Theegala is the latest addition to the event field. The 1x PGA Tour winner was awarded the Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption by tournament host Woods on Friday. The 28-year-old will make his sixth appearance in the tournament where he made his Tour debut back in 2017.
