Tyrrell Hatton surprised many by admitting that he doesn’t use Artificial Intelligence to improve his game even in 2026. The LIV Golfer, who is close to players like Bryson DeChambeau known for pushing AI analytics, revealed that he ‘hates’ seeing his swing on video.

Hatton, while speaking at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, dubbed himself the ‘worst player in the field’ to ask a question on integrating AI into the game. The 34-year-old claimed that his swing ‘looks disgusting’ to watch. Furthermore, the Ryder Cupper added that he doesn’t ‘really look at stats’ as well. This comes while many of his peers have openly admitted to successfully using various technological tools for over a decade.

Tyrrell Hatton said on Wednesday, as quoted by ASAP Sports:

“I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I’m probably the worst player in the field to ask that question to. Like, I would hate seeing my swing on video. I think it looks disgusting. I don’t really look at stats. I don’t look at what areas of the game I need improve on… Yeah, I’m sorry for being terrible for your question there.”

Tyrrell Hatton responds to Rory McIlroy’s comments

McIlroy on Tuesday made a strong comment on Tyrrell Hatton and Jon Rahm fighting a legal dispute with the DP World Tour. For the unversed, the grand slam winner criticized the American team’s payout for players and said European stars like Rahm and Hatton could pay the fines for the ‘privilege to play on the Ryder Cup’ squad for Adare Manor.

The Northern Irishman comments came when asked about his European peers facing almost $3 million fines for their involvement with LIV Golf.

    McIlroy told the media:

“We went really hard on the Americans about being paid to play the Ryder Cup, and we also said that we would pay to play in Ryder Cups. There’s two guys that can prove it. Great. I think that’s – yeah… I personally would pay for the privilege to play on the Ryder Cup.”

Hatton has now revealed that he ‘didn’t put any more thought into that.’  The Englishman, who played multiple Ryder Cups alongside McIlroy, said his legal team is still in conversations to avoid a potential ban that could end his European career.

    Hatton told the reporters:

“I don’t have an update to give. It’s still with legal teams, and there’s guys that are still in conversations working it all out. So, I haven’t put any more thought into that. Like, I don’t really know what’s happening. So, yeah, I’m just here to play golf as always.”

For the unversed, Rahm had already taken a strong stance against the fines placed by the European Tour. However, the Spaniard have also expressed his wish to be considered for the 2027 Ryder Cup squad.
