The PGA Tour will head to the Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston for the Texas Children’s Houston Open. The event, following the Valspar Championship on the schedule, will tee off on Thursday, March 26 with a stacked field of 132 players.

The non-signature event, serving as a key tune-up for players ahead of the Masters Tournament, will feature several of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) top 50 players. Notably, the competition field will be headlined by World No.1 Scottie Scheffler and No.2 Rory McIlroy. The top-rated duo returns to the playing field after a short break ahead of the Augusta major.

Apart from the Top-two duo, LIV Golf returnee and 2023 PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka, World No.10 Chris Gotterup, No.25 Maverick McNealy, No.26 Si Woo Kim and FedExCup points list top-30 Sungjae Im, are among the top players teeing up for the $9.9 million purse contest at Memorial Park. It is pertinent to note that the event’s winner also gets offered a Masters Tournament berth, if not already exempt.

For the unversed, Min Woo Lee put in a stellar performance to his first PGA Tour title at the 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open. The Aussie finished with a tournament record-setting 20-under 260 (66-64-63-67) score, that included a career-low 7-under 63 on Saturday, to beat the likes of Scheffler and Gary Woodland. He became the first player since Paul Casey in 2009 to win at their first start in Houston. Notably, Lee returns next weekend to defend his title.
