The Texas Children’s Houston Open is already in its second round, after which half of the field will be ineligible to continue competing. The Memorial Golf Course has been very favourable to golfers thus far, and there is a real chance that more golfers than expected will make the cut. After the first round, Paul Waring leads the tournament with a total score of seven under par.

Waring made a fantastic start to his day, shooting a bogey-free round with seven birdies. Interestingly, during the second round, he only managed to gain a one-shot lead over second-place golfer Gary Woodland, who finished his opening round at the Texas Children’s Houston Open with a total score of 6 under par after shooting 7 birdies and 1 bogey.

In terms of the Texas Children’s Houston Open’s expected cut, after 36 holes, speculation is that 75 golfers would likely move on to the weekend round, even though only 65 golfers were initially scheduled to play the weekend game. The 36-hole cut can range from -1 to -2, or even par. According to the PGA Tour, there is a 70% likelihood of a -1 cut, a 20% possibility of a -2 cut, and a 10% chance of making even par.

Anything can happen from now on because numerous golfers are currently tied for a single position.
