Scottie Scheffler has been breaking and making records for a while now. He is currently on a dominant run, having held the World Number One spot for more than 140 weeks in a row. Scheffler is frequently compared to the game’s greats, and NUCLR Golf has highlighted another significant feat for the golfer after he won his 20th PGA Tour championship at the 2026 American Express.

NUCLR Golf reported on January 26 with an X post showcasing Scottie Scheffler’s overall PGA Tour winnings of $100 million. The post continues to explain how Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods are the only two best golfers who have accomplished this feat. The post reads,

“🚨💰⛳️ #NEW —Scottie Scheffler has joined the $100M on course earnings club. The elite group comprises of Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy.”

In the comments section of this post, fans had a varied reaction to this feat. On the one side, some fans applauded Scottie Scheffler’s achievement, claiming that if you are excellent, you don’t need to compete in LIV Golf to make money. However, other fans began to mock Rory McIlroy, arguing that if he is on the list, it is no longer comprised of elite members, and some even stated that Scheffler is superior to both McIlroy and Woods.

Talking in detail about these fans’ comments, here’s a look at it:

“he’s better than both.” One fan stated.

“Any group that counts McIlroy as a member is not elite.” Another fan explained.

“Don’t need to go to LIV to make $$$$ just be good 👍🏼” one fan pointed out.

“No wonder the pga tour loses money.” One fan stated.

“Thank you LIV GOLF says Scottie.” One fan claimed.

Aside from that, Scheffler has set achieved another record alongside Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

Following his incredible victory at the 2026 American Express, Scottie Scheffler was asked in the press conference how he felt about becoming only the third golfer in history to win four majors and 20 PGA Tour victories before the age of 30. Only Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods have accomplished this achievement, and Scheffler stated that it is always exciting for him to see his name inscribed in records among such great luminaries.

According to the Asap Sports, Scheffler stated,

“I mean, any time you can get mentioned with those guys it means you’re doing some stuff right. At the end of the day it’s not something that will occupy many of my thoughts day-to-day. When I was thinking about getting ready for this week, I was just trying to prepare and do the best that I could. Hopefully we’ll get out of here tonight and get ready to gear up again, get some rest, and then get ready to kind of do it all over again in a couple weeks.”

Aside from that, Scottie Scheffler also revealed that he has stopped thinking about the milestone and is instead working on his game.
