The PGA Tour has confirmed its Player Advisory Council for 2026, bringing in four new members and setting up a leadership contest between two major champions.
Adam Scott and Lucas Glover will go head to head in the race for PAC Chairman. Scott who won the Masters in 2013 and Glover, the 2009 U.S. Open champion, were both nominated by the Player Directors and will now face a vote from the Tour’s membership. The winner will take on a four year role on the PGA Tour Policy Board starting in 2027 replacing Scott whose current term ends in 2026.
The Player Advisory Council works as a voice for golfers reviewing ideas and advising the Policy Board on changes across the Tour.
The 2026 council will include 16 players in total. Four players will be part of the council for the first time in 2026 including Lucas Glover, Hank Lebioda, Alex Noren and Neal Shipley.
They will be joined by returning members Sam Burns, Brian Harman, Charley Hoffman, Max Homa, Max McGreevy, Justin Thomas, Gary Woodland and Scottie Scheffler.
Scheffler is back after serving on the PAC last year and arrives following a strong start to the new season having won The American Express for his 20th career PGA Tour title.
The Tour said the final result of the chairman election along with the PAC subcommittee assignments will be shared at a later date.

PGA Tour introduces several rule changes for 2026
Earlier this month, the PGA Tour rolled out a number of rule updates for the 2026 season, many of which are aimed at making situations clearer for players.
- Ball moved without the player noticing: If a player causes their ball to move but is genuinely unaware it happened, the penalty will now be one stroke instead of two.
- Relief for embedded balls expanded: Players can now take free relief if their ball plugs into another player’s pitch mark, not just their own.
- Internal out of bounds limited to tee shots: Internal out of bounds will only apply to shots played from the teeing area, not from the fairway or rough.
- More relief near the putting green: Players will get extra relief when fixed objects interfere with their line near the green. This also includes damage left behind by objects that have been removed.
- Broken clubs can be fixed or replaced: If a club is damaged during normal play, golfers can repair it or replace it using parts from their bag, as long as it wasn’t intentional.
- Preferred lies distance shortened: The relief area for preferred lies has been reduced from a club length to the length of a scorecard, cutting the distance significantly.
