Michael Kim recently made an interesting comment on the American Tennis player Coco Gauff. She has been making headlines recently after her tennis match against Elina Svitolina. Gauff was unable to maintain control throughout the match, which created tension, and she eventually shattered her racket in anger after losing. Kim responded to this by revealing that he has done a study and that this is not the right way to express anger.

The golfer added that after speaking with some psychologists and experts, he discovered that smashing anything in rage just produces adrenaline and increases heart rate. Kim further claimed that some people do such things to vent their rage and to demonstrate to everyone that they are far superior to this. The golfer’s X post stated,

“I’ve heard this many times, but most psychologists and experts will tell you that getting the anger “out” like this doesn’t work. It spikes adrenaline and raises heart rate from that action. I’ve also found, people do it for show. It’s a way of showing “I’m much better than this”

Michael Kim posted an additional note to the comments section of this page, emphasizing that he is not criticizing Coco Gauff and is simply presenting what he has learned. The comment reads:

“This isn’t meant to be a shot at Coco. I’ve heard this theory multiple times and wanted to share what I’ve learned and experienced.”

Talking about golf, Michael Kim is currently on a one-week break from the game, as it was recently announced that he will be withdrawing from the Farmers Insurance Open.

Michael Kim was unquestionably one of the fan favorites to do well at the Farmers Insurance Open. The event is being held in Kim’s hometown, and he has expressed disappointment at not being able to participate. Just days before the tournament, the PGA Tour Communications announced Kim’s withdrawal, revealing that Sam Ryder will instead compete.

Kim retweeted this X post from the PGA Tour Communication, which revealed that he has been suffering from back troubles. He had hoped to heal before the event, but he now intends to compete in it next year. The golfer also believes he took the break to make his next stretch longer. The X post stated,

“I’ve been dealing with a back strain these last few weeks, and I was hoping for it to improve, but it hasn’t. I’m taking a week off to get healthy for this next stretch. Really disappointing to miss my hometown event. I’ll be back next yr.”

Michael Kim’s last tournament was the American Express, where he failed to make the 54-hole cut. The golfer finished the tournament with a total score of 9 under par, missing the cut by two strokes.
