The LIV Golf and its members are now on their way to their next tournament, which will take place in Hong Kong. The tournament will feature a standard LIV field of 57 golfers, with a total prize purse of $20 million at stake. Interestingly, the event is hyped a lot among fans because it will be the first start for Anthony Kim after he secured his first competitive tournament in 16 years at the LIV Golf Adelaide.
LIV Golf Hong Kong is a yearly event for the circuit, which is hosted every year at the Hong Kong Golf Club, one of Asia’s biggest and historic courses. The course has been around for more than a century, having been founded in 1889 as the Royal Hong Kong Golf Club. The Hong Kong Golf Club, although one of the oldest golf courses, is a private course, and not everyone can play on it.
Interestingly, this club has a total of 63 holes, which are distributed among four golf courses. Three of these courses are 18 holes, with the Deep Water Bay Course being the smallest at only 9 holes. Talking more about these four golf courses, here are their names, par, and the area they cover:
- Old Course – Par 71 (≈ 6,246 yards)
- Eden Course – Par 70 (≈ 6,128 yards)
- New Course – Par 70 (≈ 6,547 yards)
- Deep Water Bay – Par 28 (≈ 1,608 yards)
While the club is private, visitors to the Hong Kong Golf Club can play on the Fanling Championship Course, which is open Monday through Friday. This is the same golf course that has hosted LIV Golf Hong Kong since 2024.
