    The 2026 LIV Golf Hong Kong has officially kicked off on Thursday, March 5, at the Hong Kong Golf Club, one of the historic and biggest golf courses on the Asian continent. The tournament features the typical 57-golfer field of a LIV tournament, 54 of whom are team members, and the remaining three are wild card entries who won their way into the circuit’s tournament through the 2026 LIV Golf Promotions.

    Interestingly, a total of $30 million will be on the line as the LIV Golf Hong Kong’s prize pool, with $20 million going to the singles event and the remainder going to the team event. The winner of the singles tournament will receive a total of $4 million, while the winner of the team event will receive $3 million, which will be distributed evenly among the team members.

    As of this writing, two rounds of the LIV Golf Hong Kong have finished, and the leaderboard appears to be extremely competitive. Carlos Ortiz and Dean Burmester are currently holding the lead in the tournament with a total score of 14 under par. Interestingly, they are only one shot ahead of Thomas Detry, who is in third place with a total score of 13 under par. Interestingly, Anthony Kim, who was a fan favorite to do well in this tournament following his previous victory at the LIV Golf Adelaide, is currently tied for 50th place with a total score of 1 under par.
