Justin Rose registered one of the most comfortable wins of his career at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open. He finished the tournament with a total score of 23 under par, 7 shots ahead of the second-place finishers. Following this stunning win, Rose was questioned in the post-tournament press conference if he was pleased with his choice to reject the offer to play from LIV Golf in 2022, and the golfer interestingly said yes.
The 45-year-old golfer stated that he is quite happy with the European and PGA Tours because they feature the top competition from across the world. The golfer went on to say that whatever other circuits try to do with the game never excites him, which is why he is glad to be playing on the circuit where he dreamed of playing as a boy. In an X post, Flushing It Golf stated,
“Yeah, I feel like, yeah, my career goals have always only been attainable by staying on the European Tour and the PGA TOUR because access to them is not, you know, not possible the other way. But obviously, I want to play in amongst the best players in the world. That obviously for me is kind of what keeps me motivated, what keeps me hungry, what keeps me pushing.”
Justin Rose also stated that he is highly motivated to grow his game, which validates his decision not to join the Saudi-backed league. Since declining to join LIV Golf in 2022, the golfer has managed to put on some impressive performances on large stages, and he now has another huge idea in the works.
What is Justin Rose planning to achieve moving forward?

The 2026 Farmers Insurance Open is Justin Rose’s 13th PGA Tour win in his career. Apart from this, not only has he won the Home and Away Ryder Cups, but he has also finished second in a couple of golf majors like The Open and The Masters. After all of this, Rose is looking forward to winning a golf major, as he stated during the same post-round press conference. The golfer indicated that he does not mind doing things he has done before, but that he always wanted to win a golf major.
According to the same X post by Flushing It Golf, Rose stated,
“Yeah, majors are where I have my attention, for sure. I mean, obviously, I take — like I said, I’ve achieved a lot in the game, but I’ve achieved a lot of it just once. So I’ll take multiple of anything that I’ve achieved for sure would be great. But if I look at my career, yeah, I’ve been really close to the Open, I’ve been really close to the Masters. The dream of winning all four was obviously the ultimate goal since I’ve been a kid.”
Rose has earned $1,728,000 from the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open prize pool as a result of his overwhelming win at Torrey Pines Golf Club.
