The 2026 HGV Tournament of Champions came to an unusual end on Sunday,but it still delivered a winning start to the season for Nelly Korda.

Heavy winds stopped play on Saturday and freezing conditions on Sunday morning forced officials to cancel the final round altogether. With no chance to continue, the standings after three rounds were made final.

That worked in Korda’s favor. She had jumped into the lead on Saturday with a strong 8 under 64, moving to 13 under par and opening up a three-shot gap over Amy Yang, who was unable to finish her round before play was suspended.

The win at HGV Tournament of Champions is Korda’s first since November 2024 and the 16th LPGA title of her career. She collected $315,000 for the victory, pushing her career earnings past $16.4 million.

Yang finished second and took home $224,001, while Brooke Henderson placed third with a payout of $162,497.

The HGV Tournament of Champions featured a strong field with several of the world’s top players in action at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. Along with Korda, fans saw Jeeno Thitikul, Charley Hull, Lydia Ko and Miyu Yamashita in the mix.

Thitikul ended the week inside the top 10, while several others were still in contention before the weather brought the tournament to an early finish.
