Streamer Jack Doherty fired back at critics after he was banned from the PGA Tour. The 22-year-old creator attended the 2026 WM Phoenix Open, and during the third round of the event, held on Saturday, he asked a spectator if he could shout “jack***” while a golfer was taking a shot in exchange for $100.
The spectator screamed it, which resulted in Doherty being escorted out of the golf course, and he was later banned from PGA Tour events. On Saturday, he shared a video on his X (formerly Twitter) account talking about the incident. He reflected on the people’s reaction to his prank.

“I don’t think you all could have possibly been soft these days,” Doherty said. “What has this world come to? Everybody is so soft, and you’re saying yelling ‘jacka**’ on a golfer’s backswing is the worst thing you can do. You guys act like I murd*r*d someone. Like, grow up—you guys are the softest generation ever.”

The 2026 WM Phoenix Open is taking place at the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course. It started with its opening round on Thursday, and after three rounds, Hideki Matsuyama took the lead at 13 under. Nicolai Højgaard tied for second place with Maverick McNealy, Si Woo Kim, and Ryo Hisatsune.

Happy Gilmore’s Shooter McGavin reacts to Jack Doherty’s PGA Tour ban

A social media handle associated with the Happy Gilmore character Shooter McGavin reacted to Jack Doherty’s ban from the PGA Tour. A fan page named Clip shared a video of the incident on its X account. McGavin reshared it on his social media handle with a caption:
    “Thank you  @PGATOUR”

Jack Doherty was initially headed out of the course at the WM Phoenix Open, and then an official approached him to inform him about his ban. He shared a video of the incident on his Kick livestream.
“As a result of that, for trespassing, if you come back here again before this tournament is over, you will be arrested, and we’ll go through that whole process. In addition to that, I’m [unintelligible] you from all the future PGA Tour tournaments. If you show up to PGA Tour tournament again, you will be arrested. Do you understand that? For the foreseeable future, until you and I can work this out,” the official said.
After he was banned, Doherty said to the officials:
“All right. Goodbye. Mr. Steve, just so you know, nobody my age gives a f**k about golf, besides me. Keep it that way, boy! Pal!
Meanwhile, the PGA Tour event is nearing its conclusion. The tournament will have its finale on Sunday, Feb. 8.
