President Donald Trump is well known to be one of the biggest golf lovers. He is often spotted playing the game on any one of the number of golf courses he owns, not just in the United States but also around the world. In 2024, during one of his gaming sessions at the Trump International Golf Club in Florida, an apparent assassination attempt was conducted against him. At the time, President Trump was only the Republican presidential nominee.
A man named Ryan Routh was arrested for attempting the assassination, and after one and a half years of trial, the court finally passed the judgment on Wednesday, February 4. According to Wral News, Routh has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus seven years on a gun charge. Routh is also facing charges for a few additional crimes, which will be prosecuted at the same time.
The Judge in the case even told Ryan Routh that he is not a peaceful man and that he is horrible for planning such a large assassination attempt. Before telling Routh about the sentence, she said,
“Your plot to kill was deliberate and evil. You are not a peaceful man. You are not a good man.”
According to reports, Routh will turn 60 in two weeks, yet he has not apologized for anything he has done. Prosecutors also reported that the individual had previously been involved in a number of crimes and had spent weeks organizing President Donald Trump’s assassination attempt on September 15, 2024.
Following this event, President Donald Trump’s security on the golf course increased significantly, and he was even spotted in a new armored golf cart in July 2025.
President Donald Trump was seen in his new Golf Force One
Despite the assassination attempt, Donald Trump’s love for golf persisted, and he was spotted playing again in July 2025. Surprisingly, he was seen this time alongside additional security on the course and a new golf cart named “Golf Force One”. According to The Telegraph, Trump was spotted in a black bulletproof golf cart. A short section of the report read,
“Mr Trump’s team deployed an additional security measure in the form of a black-clad, reinforced golf cart.”
In the same report, the Telegraph released an automotive expert’s perspective on the cart, claiming that the photographs show that the golf cart is fully protected. The expert also described how the windshields and side panels provide all of the facts about the cart. According to the same story, the car specialist said,
“From those photos, that is 100 per cent armored. The windscreen is a giveaway, as are the side panels, doors, and the large panel at the rear above the load tray.”
The report also indicated that President Donald Trump’s new car, known as the “Golf Force One,” is a Polaris Ranger XP.
