Charley Hull spent a day at the SoFi Center getting a closer look at golf’s new indoor league, and she shared highlights of the visit with fans on social media.

The LPGA star posted an Instagram reel on January 28, giving a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her time at a TGL match. One of the first moments in the video showed Hull greeting Rory McIlroy with a hug as she arrived at the arena.
The clip also featured Hull trying out the simulator-style golf setup used in the league.

Along with the reel, Hull wrote:

“Great day checking out the TGL facilities and catching a match 🔥 Can’t wait for WTGL to kick off later this year! @tglgolf @tmrwsports”

Hull was in attendance for the matchup between Boston Common and The Bay Golf Club. McIlroy’s Boston team, which includes Keegan Bradley and Michael Thorbjornsen picked up a dominant 9-1 win to stay unbeaten this season.

TGL, created by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports is a tech-driven team golf league played inside a custom-built arena. The concept blends virtual golf with live short-game shots offering a fast-paced format.

A women’s version of the league is also on the way. The Women’s TGL is set to launch in the winter of 2026-27, and Hull has already been named as one of the first LPGA players involved. World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson and Lexi Thompson are also part of the initial group confirmed for the new competition.

Charley Hull helps raise funds for youth golf programs

Charley Hull recently helped secure a major charity boost for the Golf Foundation after her strong showing at the Tito’s Shorties Classic in the United States. She finished tied second at the event, which is held on a short par 3 style course in Austin, Texas.

The tournament features professional golfers alongside creators and public figures with players competing not only for positions but also to earn donations for causes they support.

Thanks to her performance, Hull’s chosen charities received close to $100,000 in total funding from Love, Tito’s, the charitable arm of Tito’s Handmade Vodka. A large portion of that money will go directly to the Golf Foundation where Hull has served as an ambassador since 2025.

Hull said the event showed how golf can be both entertaining and meaningful.

“Events like the Tito’s Shorties Classic show how golf can be fun, creative and make a real difference at the same time. The Golf Foundation works right at the grassroots, giving kids their first experiences of golf and helping them build confidence through it.”

The Golf Foundation confirmed that the donation will support its programs across the UK especially GolfSixes League and Unleash Your Drive in Schools which focus on introducing young people to the sport.

Golf Foundation chief executive Brendon Pyle praised Hull’s contribution, saying

“Charley’s decision to choose the Golf Foundation as her benefitting cause for such a significant amount is both generous and impactful. This support will allow us to reach more children through schools, communities and golf clubs, using golf as a vehicle to build confidence, resilience and a lifelong connection to the sport. Her ongoing commitment as a GolfSixes League ambassador makes this contribution even more meaningful.”

Hull is yet to begin her 2026 LPGA season. In 2025, she claimed her third LPGA Tour win at the Kroger Queen City Championship and recorded four top ten finishes, placing her fifth in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
