    “Beyond What I Could’ve Dreamed Of” – Brooks Koepka Gets Real About Being Welcomed Back to the PGA Tour

    Brooks Koepka opened up about his return to the PGA Tour. The American golfer left the LIV Golf to rejoin the Tour and teed it up in this week’s event, the Farmers Insurance Open.
    The tournament started on Thursday, and Koepka made the cut. During the third round of the event, the five-time major winner joined CBS Sports analyst Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman on the broadcasting desk and talked about returning to the PGA Tour. He said:
    “I don’t know what I expected but this is beyond what I could’ve dreamed of.”
    Brooks Koepka also talked about the players and how they welcomed him on the circuit.
    “Everybody that I talked to seemed to be excited and said, ‘Welcome back.’”

    The American golfer released a long statement on his X (formerly Twitter) account on January 13, sharing his excitement to play on the Tour. He wrote:

    “I want to thank my family and my team for their continued support throughout every step of my professional career. When I was a child, I always dreamed about competing on the

    “@PGATOUR, and I am just as excited today to announce that I am returning to the PGA TOUR. Being closer to home and spending more time with my family makes this opportunity especially meaningful to me.”

    Koepka tied for 61st place after three rounds at the Farmers Insurance Open. He settled with a score of 2-under.

    Brooks Koepka Opens Up About His Performance at the Farmers Insurance Open

    Brooks Koepka had a tough start to his game at the Farmers Insurance Open 2026 on Thursday. He played the opening round of 73 but then bounced back in the second round. He played a round of 68 to make the cut in the event.
    He talked about his performance after the second round in the post-round press conference. He said:
    “It feels good. Just wanted to play four days this week, I think that was important. Played really solid today. Drove it a lot better. Putting, I feel like I hit a lot of great putts, they just didn’t go in. I felt like I was all over the lip today. But that’s golf. kind of poa greens.
    “Maybe a touch conservative maybe putting, not as aggressive. I don’t know if those greens were a little bit slower but it felt like it. But that’s all right, got two days to figure it out and kind of really see where my game’s at, kind of take the reins off and go.
    He played the third round of 73 to settle in a tie for 61st place.
    Meanwhile, after three rounds, it is Justin Rose who took the lead in the game, while Joel Dahmen settled in second place. Koepka is next scheduled to play at the WM Phoenix Open.
