For a third consecutive year, college football is kicking off its season on the Emerald Isle with Florida State and Georgia Tech slated for a Week 0 meeting in Dublin, Ireland, for the Aer Lingus College Football Classic.
Football is finally back, and we’re here to give you everything you need to know about Georgia Tech vs. FSU — kickoff time, broadcast channel and commenters, and even some betting lines.
Week 0: Georgia Tech vs. Florida State
Florida State leads the all-time series 15-11-1, winning the most recent matchup in 2022, 41-16.
Two of FSU’s wins over GT came in the ACC Championship game in 2012 (21-15) and 2014 (37-35), and FSU once boasted a 12-game winning streak over GT between 1992 and 2003.
Both teams are fielding high-powered offenses, with FSU fresh off an undefeated season and Georgia Tech coming off its first bowl bid in five years.

FSU has a new face under center: Oregon State transfer DJ Uiagalelei replaces Heisman Trophy contender Jordan Travis. The Yellow Jackets are returning former Texas A&M quarterback Haynes King.
While the matchup on Saturday will be the first international game for the Seminoles’ program, Georgia Tech has played in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic before. The Yellow Jackets beat Boston College 17-14 when the two teams faced off in Dublin in 2016.
The game will be the ninth game played in Dublin since 1988, previously known as the Emerald Isle Classic (1988-89, 2012), the Shamrock Classic (1996), and the Croke Park Classic (2014).
The Aer Lingus College Football Classic is scheduled to continue for at least two more seasons — Iowa State and Kansas State in 2025 and Pittsburg against Wisconsin in 2027.
