Florida State Announces Early Signing Day Class of 2024

The Florida State Early Signing Day Class of 2024 continued head coach Mike Norvell's hot streak on the recruiting trail.

The Florida State Seminoles are riding high after a 13-0 season and an ACC Championship. With an appearance in the Orange Bowl and one of the nation’s longest active winning streaks, the ‘Noles stayed hot on the recruiting trail in the early signing day period.

Head coach Mike Norvell continued to put his ‘Noles in the running for one of the top recruiting classes in the country with the Florida State Early Signing Day Class of 2024.

FSU Early Signing Day 2023 Recruiting Class

FSU was projected ahead of Early Signing Day to have one of the nation’s top classes and they came through with some major players early on.

A lot hangs in the balance around the top safety in the country (K.J. Bolden) as well as a potential flip from the top wide receiver in the country (Jeremiah Smith), yet FSU brought home a big class early on.

    QB Luke Kromenhoek

The top-ranked recruit to sign his NLI, Luke Kromenhoek is one of the top quarterbacks in the country. A borderline five-star player at each recruiting site, Kromenhoek is the consensus fourth-best QB in the class and the potential future for the ‘Noles.

Kromenhoek could see reps incredibly early and should flash his talent this spring.

    DB Charles Lester III

A top-60 player across the nation, Charles Lester III is also a top-five cornerback for the Class of 2024. Lester stands at 6’1″ and 171 pounds and played top-tier talent at Venice High School. FSU’s claim to be DBU got a bit stronger.

    TE Landen Thomas

One of the top-ranking tight ends in the country, Landen Thomas is next in line for FSU’s receiving corps. At 6’4″ and 235 pounds, expect to see Thomas all over the FSU offense in the near future.

    DB Jamari Howard

Yet another high-ranking cornerback, Jamari Howard expects to be featured into the Seminoles’ starting rotation sooner than later. With great size and instincts, Howard could be a name to watch as early as his true freshman season.

    DB Cai Bates

Listed as an athlete across the board, FSU linked Cai Bates as a defensive back in their Early Signing Day portal. He can play safety or cornerback all the same, and that versatility will help him see the field sooner than later in Tallahassee.

    OL Manasse Itete

Listed as a tackle on the recruiting sites, Manassee Itete is a prime kick-in option for the ‘Noles recruiting class this circuit. He can play multiple positions and if he improves his strength at the point of attack, could make for a stalwart outside tackle soon.

    WR Lawayne McCoy

The highest-ranking of a handful of wide receivers, Lawayne McCoy heads north to Tallahassee. The Miami Central receiver is listed as the sixth-best receiver in the class and a top-20 player overall from the state of Florida.

    RB Micahi Danzy

ACC opponents may need to start getting used to hearing this name as the ‘Noles sure know how to use running backs early and often in their current offense. Micahi Danzy is a big back with room to grow as he hits Tallahassee. His speed for his size is apparent.

    WR Elijah Moore

Speaking of size, Elijah Moore may very soon become a fan favorite in Tallahassee, if he isn’t already. At 6’4.5″ and 200 pounds already, Moore is one of the biggest receivers to crack the top 300 board at any of the recruiting sites. His size and frame alone make him an intriguing prospect, as does his elite tape from Good Counsel in Maryland.

    OL Jonathan Daniels

FSU got yet another pivotal piece for their offensive line as Jonathan Daniels is in from Pine Forest in Pensacola. Daniels has guard size but tackle mobility on the outside. Where he plugs in right away isn’t known just yet, but his skill is certainly top-notch.

    WR BJ Gibson

Another versatile receiving weapon is in the house for the ‘Noles. BJ Gibson comes down from Wilcox County in Georgia and brings with him legit track speed. He’s got a full route tree and positional versatility to line up just about anywhere.

    WR Camdon Frier

Inside receivers don’t grow on trees and Camdon Frier should serve as an incredibly intriguing member of the FSU Class of 2024. He’s quick and sudden with his routes and can win off the line of scrimmage. Don’t be surprised to see him on special teams immediately as well.

    DL DD Holmes

The big man from Gonzaga in DC is heading south to Florida State. DD Holmes stands at 6’6″ and 250 pounds, with room to grow even. Holmes is a big man and can play a number of positions on the defensive front.

    DL Jamorie Flagg

Also making the trip from Miami to Tallahassee, Jamorie Flagg comes to town from Booker T. Washington High School. Standing at 300 pounds already, Flagg could very well be the center point of a stout FSU defensive line in years to come.

    OL Jayden Todd

The biggest of FSU’s offensive line signings on Early Signing Day, Jaylen Todd could pencil in at right tackle almost immediately. At 6’6″ and 315 pounds, Todd could be a pivotal piece of Alex Atkins’ group in no time.

    K Jake Weinberg

Kicker rankings are hard to come by but no matter where you look, Jake Weinberg was a top-10 kicker by all accounts. The future is bright for the special teams units in Tallahassee.

FSU Early Signing Day 2023 Commits Yet To Sign

As of the time this was published, Florida State was still waiting on the NLIs of some top-tier talent. Their class could get a big boost with these signings:

    • Five-star S KJ Bolden (No. 1 safety)
    • Four-star EDGE Armondo Blount (No. 9 EDGE)
    • Four-star RB Kameron Davis (No. 7 RB)
    • Three-star OT Tye Hylton
    • Three-star LB Jayden Parrish
    • Three-star CB Ricky Knight III
    • Three-star LB Timir Hickman-Collins
