“Put A Damper On It”: Deion Sanders Gets Honest About Seeing Son Shedeur Sanders Amid Devastating Colorado Run In 2025

Deion Sanders is navigating one of the toughest stretches of his coaching career as the 2025 season hasn’t really been fruitful for the Colorado Buffaloes. Amid their on-field struggles, Coach Prime was visited by his son, Shedeur Sanders, ahead of the Buffaloes’ game against Arizona on Saturday.

While the reunion was joyous, Sanders confessed the team’s situation hampered the experience, admitting the same in the post-game press conference.

“So, these shenanigans put a damper on it,” Coach Prime stated.

“I haven’t seen my son in a long time so that was quite emotional for me, him surprising me today in the office,” he further elaborated.

Coach Prime also emphasized that he is happy to see his kids whenever the opportunity presents itself and highlighted his parental role above all else.

“I am just happy to see my kids, whenever i get the opportunity to see them. I’m still a dad,” Sanders explained.

Shedeur surprised his father before Colorado’s big game against Arizona to support his father and the team. A video clip surfaced on X showing the heartfelt encounter. Shedeur walked into his father’s office, and the two shared a tight embrace.

The footage provided a clear glimpse of their strong bond. Coach Prime even joked, asking his son if he was ready to suit up for the Buffaloes.

In the meantime, Colorado’s struggles on the field remained a notable problem as the Buffaloes suffered a damaging 52-17 home loss to the Wildcats.

With this loss, Colorado now sits at 3-6 record overall, and 1-5 record in the Big 12.
