Deion Sanders has an active quarterback battle featuring transfer Kaidon Salter, true freshman phenom Julian “JuJu” Lewis, and returning passer Ryan Staub.

Sanders continues to be very confident in both Salter and Lewis, and believes both could play at a high level, and it’s safe to say he wants to let the best player to rise to the occasion.

The Buffaloes have a tough 2025 schedule starting on Aug. 29 against Georgia Tech at Folsom field. That game is already sold out, and will be aired nationally on FOX, making headline news for the CU program.

Head coach Sanders and his staff will have a challenging schedule that includes Delaware, Houston, Wyoming, BYU, and TCU, as well as Iowa State, Utah, and Arizona, and West Virginia, Arizona State and Kansas State.

Sanders has some effective coaches to support him meet his lofty expectations. Former NFL stars Warren Sapp and Marshall Faulk will help the program, as they develop watered down, but credible positions. Sapp will work with the defensive line, while Faulk will work with the offensive line.
