What Deion Sanders Is Suffering Now

Deion Sanders said he was in severe pain and he believes there are “more blood clots” in his leg. Sanders will reportedly visit a doctor; however, at this time, there is no indication of a new cancer diagnosis. Sanders confirmed about an appointment with a doctor on Monday.

“Cat’s out of the bag, all right. I think I’ve got more blood clots,” Sanders said. “It don’t make sense. I’m hurting like crazy. I’m not getting blood to my leg. That’s why my leg is throbbing.”

During the TCU game, Sanders was observed several times sitting on the sidelines and looking at his foot. He even removed his left shoe at one instance.

Deion Sanders Coming Off a Summer Overcoming Cancer

Earlier in 2025, there was quite an intrigue among fans as to why Deion Sanders was not available in Colorado to conduct his recruiting duties. As summer progressed, updates came along from his fellow friends and teammates saying that the former Cowboys cornerback is dealing with something and he’s spending summer at his Texas ranch.

Just ahead of the start of the 2025 college football season, Sanders called for a press conference and revealed that he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bladder cancer. He revealed that he has undergone surgery in which his bad bladder was replaced by a reconstruction using his intestine. He was since been declared cancer free by his doctors.

Apart from that, Sanders’ issue with blood clots isn’t new. He has previously suffered from circulatory issues and in 2021, he even had to amputate both toes of his legs due to blood clots. Even in Jun. 2023, he went under the knife for persistent clots in his legs.

It remains to be seen if cancer is returning for Deion Sanders as only after doctor’s evaluation one can comment on it.
