The Florida Gators are looking to build on a strong finish to last season when they won their last four games.
One player who could help them in a big way is cornerback Cormani McClain.

Who is Cormani McClain?
Cormani McClain will be heading into his junior season this Fall.
The 21-year-old defensive back transferred to Gainesville after starting his college career at Colorado. He played sparingly and only recorded five total tackles after recording 13 as a freshman at Colorado.
Gators head coach Billy Napier has reportedly said that McClain is one of the year-two players who has taken a big leap this spring.

Now, despite recording just five tackles in his first season playing for Napier, the Lakeland, Florida native did record an interception, which came against the Kentucky Wildcats on October 19.
If he can continue this momentum into the summer, the Gators could be all the better for it.
What Florida Needs to Accomplish in 2025
The Gators have not won 10+ games in a season since Dan Mullen was the head coach in 2019. In fact, before this past season, the 2020 season was the last time the Gators had a winning record overall.
Now that Napier was able to do that finally, he has to take it a step further in 2025. Can the Gators earn their way to 10 wins or more?
In order to do that, they will likely have to beat LSU, Miami, Ole Miss, and Georgia on the road or at a neutral site. They also have to face Texas, Tennessee, and Florida State at home. If this team wins 10 games a year after winning eight in what could be the toughest conference in America, Napier might earn a contract extension.
However, he might be on the way out if he falters and loses too many games.
