Seven-time Super Bowl champion and arguably the greatest quarterback in the history of American football, Tom Brady, has been making headlines since the slapgate at Fanatics Fest in NYC on Friday.
Previously, Brady had told WWE wrestler Cody Rhodes that he wanted to compete in the WWE, saying he still had a good amount of athleticism left and hoping that WWE President Nick Khan would develop an interesting storyline for him.
Sharing their take on the whole Brady-Logan Paul wild moment from the event, Talkin’ Baseball’s MLB analysts questioned Brady’s intentions behind slapping Paul and whether he was competing with Travis Kelce to remain the NFL’s most relevant personality since Kelce’s dream wedding to pop star Taylor Swift at MSG earlier this month.
“Tom Brady, we got to chill out. The Fanatics Fest weekend is insane. Was there for a day, and it’s wild what they have turned it into, and Brady eats it up. Like Justin Bieber likes his privacy but has been in the mix lately. Like Tom lives for it. Do you think he is competing with Travis Kelce for like the most relevant football player right now?” the analysts said.

While Brady envisions entering the wrestling ring, he was once not far from playing in the big leagues after being drafted by the Montreal Expos as a catcher out of Junipero Serra High School in the 18th round, the 507th overall pick, in the 1995 MLB draft.
Which Baseball Position Did Tom Brady Compare to an NFL Quarterback?
Last month, Brady was invited as a guest to the Overlap channel hosted by former football players Gary Neville, Roy Keane, Jamie Carragher, Jill Scott, and Ian Wright. There, he was asked by Neville which position in baseball he felt was most similar to that of an NFL quarterback.
“A pretty good one too. Catcher is a little like playing QB. You’re kind of in charge, you call the pitches. Nothing starts until you put the glove up. You’re in the action every play, you get to be a leader in a pretty tough part of the field,” Brady said.
Whether Brady enters the wrestling ring in the near future to compete with WWE stars remains to be seen, but one cannot bet against the NFL superstar from excelling in any field he puts his mind to.
