The Milwaukee Brewers reportedly face an investigation over the treatment of Melvin Hernandez, one of their top young international prospects.
According to Nicaraguan sports reporter Fernando Rayo of 8 Deportivo, Hernandez is stepping away from playing in the United States after allegedly being bullied.
“Per sources, MLB could have started an investigation in the Milwaukee Brewers organization due to alleged bullying against Nicaraguan 🇳🇮 RHP Melvin Hernández,” Rayo wrote on X. “Hernández decided not to come back to US this season after 10W and 2.00 ERA in 121.2 IP at Low A in 2025.”
While responding to a fan in a follow-up tweet, Rayo said the alleged incident had taken a serious toll on Hernández.
“It was something that made an awful impact on the player since he decided to stop his career,” he wrote.
8 Deportivo tweeted that Brewers representatives met with Hernández to discuss the alleged incident.
