“Shohei Ohtani, The Bar Has Been Raised” – Fans Shocked After Jordy Frahm Announces She Was Pregnant During 2026 Softball Season

The former Nebraska player, Jordy Frahm, recently revealed that she played her final 2026 softball season while being pregnant. The announcement quickly gained traction on social media, with fans shocked by her ability to deliver the stellar performances in such a sensitive condition.

Frahm concluded her softball collegiate career on May 31, 2026, at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, where the Nebraska Cornhuskers were eliminated from the Women’s College World Series in a tight 3-1 loss to the Texas Longhorns. During this game, she played a significant role, delivering a solo home run to deep center field off Texas pitcher Teagan Kavan.

This run was the Huskers’ only score of the entire showdown and marked her 20th home run of the season. With this home run, she also became the first player in NCAA history to achieve multiple seasons recording 20+ pitching wins and 20+ home runs. After delivering a notable performance in this game, she stunned her fans by announcing that she has been playing in the season despite being three months pregnant.

She announced the news on Instagram with her husband, Trey Frahm, by posting three pairs of cowboy boots, which included a baby-sized pair and a positive pregnancy test. They also posted a picture of the Nebraska Huskers onesie and a sonogram.

Jordy Frahm made her feelings known about her career with the Nebraska softball team

After wrapping up her career on May 31 at the Women’s College World Series, Jordy Frahm sat for a post-match press conference, where she weighed in on her journey with the Nebraska Huskers. Highlighting the roller coaster of her transfer to getting hurt to crediting the girls for the success of the Huskers, she said:

“I would just say the whole journey has been, I mean, not what I expected, obviously, starting out at OU and then transferring back home to Nebraska and getting hurt and all of that, but one thing that we talked about in the locker room, somebody said, Jordy, like thank you for coming home and changing this programme, and I said, I didn’t come home and change this programme. No one person can do that.  It was the girls who were already here that absolutely bought into what this programme could do,” said Jordy Frahm.

She further said that God’s grace has always been at this team and all over her career. Revealing that concluding her collegiate career hurts, she added:

“God’s fingerprints were all over this team. It was all, all over my story, all over my career, and I do truly believe that the way today ended is a part of that story as well and the fruits that will come from it later on, you know, are things that will be revealed down the road. It really hurts right now, but just so thankful for the journey and to finish it here with this team.”
