The WM Phoenix Open is known for its eccentric atmosphere that turns a golf event into a festive celebration of sports and culture. It becomes an annual retreat for celebrities and sportspersons, especially baseball stars, as they look for a short breather before the regular season unfolds.
This year, the MLB was very well represented. Phoenix area natives Alex Bregman and Tarik Skubal were among the ones who attended the event. Bregman’s wife, Reagan Elizabeth Bregman, took to Instagram on Saturday morning to share clips.
Reagan Bregman shared a selfie with her husband, Alex, in his golf shorts and Skubal, rocking an athleisure fit. She also shared a fit check matching a beige colored A-line short skirt and puffy jacket with a white tee, sneakers and a baseball cap.

Both Bregman and Skubal recorded mega salaries for their upcoming season. Bregman signed a five-year, $175 million contract with the Chicago Cubs, while Skubal won a $32 million arbitration hearing against the Detroit Tigers.
Bobby Witt Jr. and Vinnie Pasquantino of the Kansas City Royals, and the Seattle Mariners’ Cal Raleigh also attended the People’s Open on Saturday. Bregman was also part of Pro-Am Wednesday, the pre-tournament event that pairs professional golfers with amateurs from various walks of life.
From the MLB, Bregman, Raleigh and Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts teed off. They were joined by some of the biggest names in the North American sports landscape, including Michael Phelps, Travis Kelce, Emmett Smith, among others.
While Skubal didn’t participate in the event, he was one of the star attractions during the inaugural edition of the MLB Open, a charity golf tournament held in November during the MLB’s Awards week.
Alex Bregman’s clear message to Dodgers during Phoenix Open tournament
Ahead of the Pro-Am event last Wednesday, Bregman spoke to RG’s Kyle Odegard. Now that he’s on the Cubs, Bregman was asked about his anticipation on facing the two-time defending champion, the Dodgers, six times in the upcoming season.
“100 percent [ready],” Bregman said.
“One of the things that is so fun is playing October baseball,” Bregman added, per Odegard. “I feel like that’s why we play the game. I want to play October baseball at Wrigley.”
The Dodgers remain the team to beat in the National League, having gotten better with the addition of Kyle Tucker and Edwin Diaz in the offseason. The Cubs will certainly look to attend after Bregman’s addition.
