2025 SEC Recruiting Class Rankings: LSU Take Large Early Lead

While it's early in the cycle, the LSU Tigers have taken a huge lead in the 2025 SEC Recruiting Class Rankings behind the nation's top prospect.

Teams have moved to the class of 2025 after putting the finishing touches on their 2024 classes. It’s early, but fans already have an idea of which SEC teams will have the best recruiting classes in December.

Here are the 2025 SEC Recruiting Class Rankings.

2025 SEC Recruiting Class Rankings

16) Missouri Tigers

Top Recruit: N/A

While the Missouri Tigers have seen a ton of recent success on the field, the class of 2025 hasn’t gotten off to a huge start. Not to worry. Eli Drinkwitz’s team has time, but this in-state class isn’t as talented as it has been in the past few years.

The Tigers, who have prioritized the state of Missouri, will have their work cut out for them. Whether or not they can put together a strong class is a storyline to watch as the year progresses.

15) Vanderbilt Commodores

Top Recruit: Carson Lawrence, S

The Vanderbilt Commodores have just one high school commit, in-state safety Carson Lawrence from private school powerhouse McCallie. He’s unranked on two of the four major services. In the modern-day college football model, Vanderbilt will always face an uphill battle when it comes to recruiting, keeping them down the bottom end of the SEC Recruiting Class Rankings.

Vanderbilt’s 2025 Recruiting Class

  • Carson Lawrence, S, McCallie (Chattanooga, TN)

14) South Carolina Gamecocks

Top Recruit: Jayden Sellers, WR

The South Carolina Gamecocks will likely move up the SEC Recruiting Class Rankings as the program continues to put themselves in good positions with some of the best prospects in the country.

But for now, they have a single commitment. Jayden Sellers is the younger brother of presumed quarterback starter LaNorris Sellers and has been committed to the Gamecocks since October.

South Carolina’s 2025 Recruiting Class

  • Jayden Sellers, WR, South Florence (SC)

13) Ole Miss Rebels

Top Recruit: Corey Amos, LB

The Ole Miss Rebels focused most of their energy on the transfer portal in December and January, doing extremely well there. That being said, the current recruiting class leaves a lot to be desired. Lane Kiffin and company will likely make moves later and already have a solid linebacker in the mix in Corey Amos.

Ole Miss’ 2025 Recruiting Class

  • Corey Amos, LB, Opelousas (LA)

12) Kentucky Wildcats

Top Recruit: Quintin Simmons, WR

Like Ole Miss, the Kentucky Wildcats focused on the transfer portal in December and January and only has two commits for the 2025 class. Quintin Simmons is ranked in the top 160 by 247 Sports and has the chance to be a difference-maker in the class.

Kentucky’s 2025 Recruiting Class

  • Quintin Simmons, WR, Withrow (Cincinnati, OH)
  • Stone Saunders, QB, Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, PA)

11) Alabama Crimson Tide

Top Recruit: Anthony Rogers, RB

While seeing the script ‘A’ so low in the SEC Recruiting Class Rankings feels weird on the surface, it shouldn’t be surprising that a team with such a recent — and historic — coaching change is lower in the rankings.

The Alabama Crimson Tide do have a commitment from one of the top running backs in the country in Anthony Rogers, and a four-star linebacker, Myles Johnson.

Alabama’s 2025 Recruiting Class

  • Anthony Rogers, RB, IMG Academy (Pike Road, AL)
  • Myles Johnson, LB, TR Miller School (Brewton, AL)

10) Mississippi State Bulldogs

Top Recruit: Kamario Taylor, QB

The Mississippi State Bulldogs is the first team in these SEC Recruiting Class Rankings with three commits, even though two are unranked. Taylor is one of the top quarterbacks in the country, and although he committed to Zach Arnett, he’s remained committed through the staff change.

Mississippi State’s 2025 Recruiting Class

  • Kamario Taylor, QB, Noxubee County (Macon, MS)
  • AJ Rice, WR, Madison Academy (AL)
  • Jeremiah McCloud, Edge, Gadsden Academy (Havana, FL)

9) Arkansas Razorbacks

Top Recruit: Carius Curne, IOL

Arkansas will need to hit on many prospects in the 2025 class to rebuild the depth it lost in the transfer portal. The Razorbacks are off to a decent start, pulling in four-star recruits at the offensive line and running back positions.

Quarterback Grayson Wilson is an intriguing find out of Central Arkansas Christian who has been committed to the Razorbacks since mid-April 2023.

  • Jamarion Parker, RB, Cardinal Ritter College Prep (Saint Louis, MO)
  • Grayson Wilson, QB, Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock, AR)
  • Markeylin Batton, CB, Atlanta (TX)
  • Evan Noel, K, St Stanislaus (Bay Saint Louis, MS)

8) Texas A&M Aggies

Top Recruit: Deyjohn Pettaway, CB

The new Texas A&M Aggies staff has worked to hit the ground running as the team’s top three commits — all four-stars — committed after the New Year. Mike Elko and his team will work to create a strong culture and strong defense.

Deyjohn Pettaway, Deondre Riden, and Kelvion Riggins are all ranked inside the top 300, and the Aggies are set on trying to recruit their talent-rich state.

  • Deyjohn Pettaway, CB, Paetow (Katy, TX)
  • Deondre Riden, RB, DeSoto (TX)
  • Kelvion Riggins, LB, Forney (TX)
  • Joshua Moses, IOL, Legacy the School of Sport Sciences (Spring, TX)

7) Tennessee Volunteers

Top Recruit: George MacIntyre, QB

The Tennessee Volunteers have recruited some of the country’s premier high schools, pulling players from Southlake Carroll in Texas and Buford and Milton in Georgia.

George MacIntyre is a high-upside quarterback who will need time to adjust to the college game but could eventually become a high-level starter for the Volunteers. Tennessee will likely look for a few defensive linemen in this class.

Tennessee’s 2025 Recruiting Class

  • George MacIntyre, QB, Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, TN)
  • Jack Von Dorselaer, TE, Southlake Carroll (Southlake, TX)
  • Justin Baker, RB, Buford (GA)
  • Dylan Lewis, CB, Milton (GA)
  • Joakim Dodson, WR, Collierville (Memphis, TN)
  • Tyler Redmond, CB, Milton (GA)

6) Oklahoma Sooners

Top Recruit: Elijah Thomas, WR

The Oklahoma Sooners have already pulled in three highly-rated receivers in their 2025 class to go along with Kevin Sperry, a solid quarterback prospect.

The Sooners need to prioritize the offensive line in this class, as the depth at those positions is in poor shape. However, the receivers being brought in should be able to contribute, and the Sooners will continue to prioritize the transfer portal where possible.

Oklahoma’s 2025 Recruiting Class

  • Elijah Thomas, WR, Checotah (OK)
  • Jaden Nickens, WR, Millwood (Oklahoma City, OK)
  • Kevin Sperry, QB, Carl Albert (Midwest City, OK)
  • Gracen Harris, WR, Ennis (TX)
  • Trynae Washington, Ath., Carl Albert (Oklahoma City, OK)
  • Ryan Fodje, OT, Bridgeland (Cypress, TX)

  • Alexander Shieldknight, Edge, (Wagoner, OK)
  • Ka’Mori Moore, DL, Lee’s Summit North (Lee’s Summit, MO)
  • Owen Hollenbeck, IOL, Melissa (TX)

5) Florida Gators

Top Recruit: Jalen Wiggins, DL

So far, the Florida Gators class is small but effective. The program has just four committed prospects, but three rank inside the top 250 of the consensus rankings.

Jalen Wiggins leads the charge, but Peyton Joseph, Walter Clark, and Josiah Abdullah all have the potential to play early in Gainesville.

  • Jalen Wiggins, DL, James Rickards (Tallahassee, FL)
  • Peyton Joseph, IOL, Houston County (Fort Valley, GA)
  • Waltez Clark, RB, Plant (Tampa, FL)
  • Josiah Abdullah, WR, Woodward Academy (Atlanta, GA)

4) Auburn Tigers

Top Recruit: Antonio Coleman, DL

It’s fairly obvious what the focus is for the Auburn Tigers, whose top five commitments by ranking are defensive linemen.

The Tigers have been able to take advantage of a strong in-state class. Coleman is a borderline top-100 player but only the 10th-best prospect in Alabama in the cycle, suggesting Auburn has the chance to raise its ranking if it can continue to recruit well within the state.

Auburn’s 2025 Recruiting Class

  • Antonio Coleman, DL, Saraland (AL)
  • Jakaleb Faulk, EDGE, Highland Home (AL)
  • Jourdin Crawford, DL, Parker (Birmingham, AL)
  • Malik Autry, DL, Opelika (AL)
  • Kalen Edwards, DL, Dyersburg (TN)
  • Ryan Ghea, TE, Milton (Alpharetta, GA)
  • Spencer Dawland, OT, Athens (AL)
  • Hollis Davidson, TE, Mcintosh (Peachtree City, GA)

3) Texas Longhorns

Top Recruit: K.J. Lacey, QB

The Texas Longhorns are like a few other schools in the SEC Recruiting Rankings in that they hold an early verbal commitment from a highly-rated quarterback. K.J. Lacey committed to the Longhorns way back in June 2023, and has since been joined by a few defensive linemen and potential big-bodied pass catchers.

There’s work to be done in this class if the Longhorns want to continue to compete with the best of the best, but it’s a great start.

Texas’ 2025 Recruiting Class

  • K.J. Lacey, QB, Saraland (AL)
  • Lance Jackson, Ath., Pleasant Grove (Texarkana, TX)
  • Emaree Winston, TE, Calhoun (GA)
  • Brandon Brown, DL, Eau Gallie (Melbourne, FL)
  • Anthony Williams, EDGE, Shadow Creek (Pearland, TX)

2) Georgia Bulldogs

Top Recruit: Justus Terry, DL

Unsurprisingly, the Georgia Bulldogs are off to a strong start in the 2025 class, landing four highly-coveted players early in the cycle. Terry is ranked eighth in the country, while Elyiss Williams is the country’s top tight end and will likely become a five-star.

The Bulldogs are in the mix for several other high-profile players and should only move up as the cycle unfolds.

Georgia’s 2025 Recruiting Class

  • Justus Terry, DL, Manchester (GA)
  • Elyiss Williams, TE, Camden County (Folkston, GA)
  • Jaden Perlotte, LB, Buford (GA)
  • Ethan Barbour, TE, Alpharetta (GA)
  • Bo Walker, RB, Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, GA)

1) LSU Tigers

Top Recruit: Bryce Underwood, QB

If the LSU Tigers were to stop recruiting right now, it would still have a top-five class in December. The job Brian Kelly has done to get early commitments cannot be understated.

The class is headlined by the top overall player in the country, quarterback Bryce Underwood. The Belleville product is joined by two other five-star recruits in receiver Dakorian Moore and running back Harlem Berry, the top-ranked in-state player.
