    Flau’jae Johnson’s Super Bowl Appearance

Shortly after LSU achieved a historic win, Johnson turned heads with her appearance at Super Bowl LIX.

She posted a picture on Instagram captioned:

    “Suite Life💛 #SuperBowlLIX.”

She wore a rusty yellow cropped sweater paired with vintage print ripped denim jeans, accessorized with a silver chain and yellow-tinted glasses. Completing the look, she sported Crème brûlée-colored sneakers.

While her outfit made waves, her performance on the court has been even more impressive. The Tigers hold a 23-1 record this season, with their only loss coming against No. 2 South Carolina last month.

Johnson has played a crucial role, averaging 20 points per game while shooting 48.4% from the field and 36.7% from three-point range.

Despite being a freshman during LSU’s 2023 National Championship win, Johnson was a key contributor on a team that included Angel Reese. LSU’s ability to maintain dominance this season, even without Reese, speaks volumes about head coach Kim Mulkey’s leadership.

Johnson on Playing Under Coach Kim Mulkey

During a Feb. 5 interview with New York Post Sports, Johnson discussed her experience playing under Mulkey. Johnson said:

“Intense. It’s intense. But Coach Mulkey, she really just loves to win. And she really cares about her players. And I don’t know, she kind of gives us that confidence in order to be ourselves.”

    She also said:

“Like, she always tells us, ‘If you want to yell after an and-one, yell after an and-one. If you want to turn up, don’t ever let nobody take that from you.’ So we kind of get that from our coach.”

Mulkey gained attention for a viral moment during LSU’s Jan. 30 win over Oklahoma when she slapped a clipboard out of assistant coach Seimone Augustus’ hands. Regardless of her intense coaching style, Johnson and her teammates continue to thrive under her leadership.
