Olivia Miles is quickly becoming the player to watch in the WNBA. The rookie has already made her mark in the league by breaking a couple of records. Not only Rookie of the Year, but many believe that she is competing for the MVP as well.
She has started her rookie season in elite form. That is not just about her individual performances; she has also contributed efficiently to her team’s success. Game vs Portland Fire on Monday night was no different. Miles had a short but impactful stay on the court.
Not only that, but she was extremely fired up. After a clean steal from Fire’s Sarah Ashlee Barker, Miles confidently drove to the rim and finished the lay-up.
After the basket, she turned around with some words for Barker. What she said was inaudible, but it was clear that she was taunting Sarah Ashlee Barker.
Olivia Miles had 12 points in 23 minutes, shooting 6-8 from the field. She also contributed with 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. The Minnesota Lynx won their 11th game of this season. Lynx lost their 8-game winning streak in a 100-97 loss vs A’ja Wilson’s Las Vegas Aces. They bounced back in grand fashion, defeating the Fire 100-76.
