Caitlin Clark has made headlines as she features on the Deluxe Edition cover for NBA 2K27 for the first time in her career. She becomes the first WNBA player to be on the cover in her own global premium version of the game.
Clark is the seventh WNBA player overall to feature on the game’s cover after Candace Parker, Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, Sabrina Ionescu, A’ja Wilson and Angel Reese.
The game cover features Victor Wembanyama in the Standard Edition and Derrick Rose in the Ultra Edition. In a recent chat with NBA 2K’s Ronnie 2K, Wembanyama reacted to Clark’s global cover.
“That’s cool. No, it’s great. She definitely deserves to be on there. A big inspiration for me. Of course, you know her status as the No. 1 pick, the way she changes the game as well. I’ve always felt some respect and inspiration from people who breaks the rules in some way,” Wemby said.
Clark has been on a great run this season. After struggling with injuries and missing out on most of last season, she has made a strong comeback. She is averaging 21 points, 3.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists in 23 games this season.
Caitlin Clark’s performance in the WNBA All-Star game
Even during the All-Star weekend, Clark was a major talking point. Reports suggested that Clark had rejected the invitation to the 3-point contest. This was the third year in a row that she did not participate in the contest that has often given us special moments.
However, in the All-Star Game, Clark did not hold back. She played for 21 minutes and scored 17 points. She hit five 3-pointers, including one from the logo. Her performance also included four rebounds and five assists.
