The Minnesota Lynx will face the Toronto Tempo on Friday for their final game of the 2026 WNBA preseason. The Lynx will start the season without Collier, who continues to recover from ankle surgery. They have seen multiple departures this summer, including Alanna Smith, Jessica Shepard, Bridget Carleton and Natisha Hiedeman.
However, Minnesota has also added Natasha Howard, Nia Coffey and drafted Olivia Miles with the No. 2 pick to offset their losses. They have gone 2-0 in the preseason, defeating the Washington Mystics and the Nigeria Women’s National Basketball team.
The Toronto Tempo, the WNBA’s newest expansion team, has put together a guard-heavy roster this summer. They have veterans Brittney Sykes, Marina Mabrey, Julie Allemand, and Kia Nurse in the backcourt. The team also has veteran forward Temi Fagbenle leading the frontcourt.
Moreover, the Tempo have also acquired young pieces, drafting Kiki Rice at No. 2 and acquiring 26-year-old guard Lexi Held, who made her debut with the Phoenix Mercury last season.
