Toronto Tempo vs Los Angeles Sparks Projected Starting Lineups and Injury Reports Tonight (May 15) | 2026 WNBA Season

The Los Angeles Sparks continue their homestand on Friday with a matchup against the Toronto Tempo. LA come into this game still searching for their first win of the 2026 season. As for Toronto, they got their first-ever win in franchise history on Wednesday.

Lynne Roberts’ side have had the perfect start to the season. They suffered a blowout 105-78 loss on the opening day against the Las Vegas Aces before losing 87-78 to the Indiana Fever.

The Sparks’ struggles have been well-documented over the first two games. When the Sparks signed Nneka Ogwumike and Arike Ogunbowale, the expectation was that LA’s veteran presence would create stability. However, so far they have not been able to find chemistry. Kelsey Plum has been one of the most consistent players up front, scoring a combined 52 points in those games, but she is only one piece of the bigger picture.

Cameron Brink bounced back from a rough start in the opener, finishing with 11 points, five rebounds, three blocks and one steal in the loss to the Fever. Offensively, it will take time to adjust to the new players, but they need to regroup and start picking up wins, especially at home.

The Tempo also played their first two games at home and have faced challenges, dropping the season opener 68-65 to the Washington Mystics. However, they responded with their first win by beating the Seattle Storm 86-73.

Toronto’s win over Seattle didn’t just feel like a franchise milestone, it ignited a spark they will look to carry forward. The Tempo were led by a high-energy group of Marina Mabrey, Brittney Sykes, María Conde and rookie star Kiki Rice, who combined for 72 points.

The Tempo will be confident heading into this game, expecting their first road win. It’s safe to say that if they find their rhythm, the Sparks could be in for another long night.
