While fans continue to flood the comments section, showing love to Latto, rapper 21 Savage has yet to publicly acknowledge her announcement.

Angel Reese reflects on her first conversation with Latto

Speaking to Latto on her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, Angel Reese shared how her first interaction with the rapper went. She addressed the subject, sharing how she froze up after their first encounter, which took place over the phone.

“You called me like two days before and I froze up,” Reese shared

Latto chimed in, sharing her thoughts behind the call.

“Kayla, try and get in touch with Angel, or I’m finna DM her and see what’s up,” Latto said.

Reese continued, expressing how she had mixed feelings about Latto’s presented opportunity to star in a music video, citing her recent NCAA Championship win with LSU.

“You DM’ed me, and I was like, ‘okay,’ … I’m like, this is a different kind of route for me. I always said I wanted to be like a video vixen,” Reese said. “When you texted me, I texted my agent like, ‘Should I do this?’”

Reese ultimately starred next to Cardi B and Latto in the music video for the track “Put It On Da Floor.” The two have been friends ever since, with the rapper making multiple appearances on Reese’s podcast.
