Dallas Wings fans are hoping that Paige Bueckers will return to full health soon as she deals with an ankle injury. As if to reassure her supporters that she’s in good shape, Bueckers went on Instagram this weekend to post pics of her having a blast.
In a pair of IG stories, the Wings star revealed that she’d attended a 2026 FIFA World Cup match at AT&T Stadium. Bueckers even shows off the gametime hotdog that she was munching while watching the football action.
“In my element,” Bueckers wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, Bueckers’ longtime teammate Azzi Fudd was also in attendance at AT&T Stadium. Fudd’s mother Katie posted a clip of the intense atmosphere at the Netherlands vs. Japan game that they were watching.

Other Wings players in attendance were Jessica Shepard, Maddy Siegrist, and Alanna Smith.
The WNBA’s Dallas squad does need a bit of a morale boost, as they have lost two of their last three games. Last Tuesday, they were blown out by the league-leading Minnesota Lynx, 100-76. Then, just this past Saturday, the Wings lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Portland Fire, who secured an 84-83 win.
Despite their recent setbacks, there is good reason to be optimistic towards the Wings this season. They are expected to eclipse their 10-win output last year, and the Bueckers-Fudd duo have started to find their rhythm as a WNBA backcourt.
Health, of course, will be a key factor in the success of the Wings in the 2026 campaign. The sooner that Bueckers can shake off the ankle injury, the better.
