The Indiana Fever completed an impressive win vs the Washington Mystics courtesy of Caitlin Clark’s last second three pointer from 33 feet out. There was just over 2 seconds left on the clock. The ball was in bound from Sophie Cunningham. She lobbed a tough pass and Caitlin did the rest.
There was a moment during the wild celebrations where many noticed a cold exchange between Caitlin Clark and head coach Stephanie White. Sophie Cunningham later shared a picture on her IG. One slide in her post was an AI generated picture with the caption that said CC and Sophie did not follow White’s plan.
After the memorable win, the injury report is once again a familiar one. Caitlin Clark was declared probable due to her repetitive back issues and Sophie Cunningham was declared questionable due to her right elbow. While it was a big let off for the fans, there was a lot of speculation as well. Fans suspected that the injury report had something to do with the duo not following White’s plan in the last play.

After sharing the picture on her Instagram post, fans backed the players and blamed Stephanie White. There have been enough doubts over White’s relationship with Caitlin Clark and her future as the Fever head coach.
Due to Clark and White’s viral argument on the bench, the speculations around a fractured relationship increased. Sophie’s post only added on to it. However, she cleared up that it was just a joke. She posted on X, “you guys read too much into things. that’s THE EXACT play our coach drew up and we executed it perfectly!”
