Allisha Gray called out a fan on Threads after they shared a post about a WNBA player whom fans wish to see being their “own person” beyond friendships in the league.
Another fan replied to the post, correctly identifying the player as Allisha Gray. The guard also interacted with the post, calling out the fan for their comment.
“Here we go…I guess I can’t be a good friend anymore, smh cause apparently when I’m on the court,” Gray wrote. “I can praise my friends if I want to and be my own person like wtf …my friends are doing it big and imma support them EVERY SINGLE TIME TF.”
Gray responded again after the fan deleted their original post.
“Nahhh, don’t delete it now … that’s the thing, stand on what you say…stuff pops up randomly on my timeline and if it’s BS imma say something, don’t be a coward,” she wrote. “These last ‘two years,’ I’ve been an All Star …my stats were solid every matchup…. just cause we lost, that’s the issue? God FORBID I’m just a great friend smh y’all weird …I’ll never STEP OUTSIDE my friendship crazy person on NONE of my friends tf.”

The fan also shared a follow-up message on their account, urging others not to call out any players by name under their posts.
“If I make a post and I’m not calling any names, y’all please don’t come under my post calling these players names,” the fan wrote. “Got these players quoting my post like I’m finna go back and forth with them. That’s never going to happen.”
Allisha Gray’s gesture for A’ja Wilson at the 2025 All-Star Weekend
Allisha Gray and A’ja Wilson were teammates in college, playing for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Despite being on different teams in the league, Gray and Wilson have maintained their friendship, often showing support for each other online.
Gray made a gesture for Wilson at the 2025 All-Star Weekend, attending the WNBA Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest while wearing the Aces star’s Nike A’One sneakers. The pair also attended last year’s Masters Tournament together. Wilson marked the occasion with a photograph:
“Masters with my girlie.”

Wilson and the Aces will start their 2026 campaign on Saturday, taking on the Phoenix Mercury. Meanwhile, Gray and the Atlanta Dream’s season will also start on Saturday against the Minnesota Lynx.
