“Come to Indy”: Caitlin Clark Fans Flood Rae Burrell’s Comments After Marquee Free Agent Shows Love to Fever Superstar’s Prada Post

Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever fans are getting busy online as a pivotal 2026 WNBA free agency approaches. On Friday, they made Rae Burrell aware of their interest in acquiring her services in Indiana. Burrell erupted those conversations after commenting on Clark’s latest brand promotion post on her Instagram.

    “Strutt it,” Burrell wrote.

That was enough for a few Clark and Fever fans to flood Burrell’s comment with recruitment pitches. One fan wrote:

“come to indy i promise we’ll treat you good.”

“you coming to Indy or what’s up,” another added.

“better than good..excellent. She belongs here,” one fan said.

“Rae when free agency comes around u know what to do @indianafever,” another wrote.

“Rae to the Fever would be a nice headline to read if I’m being honest,” one fan added.
“you know where home is. Welcome to the Fever. Clark Nation!” another commented.
Caitlin Clark and Rae Burrell teamed up on Team USA at the 2026 FIBA World Cup Qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico. Burrell was one of the better fits alongside Clark. Her ability to run the floor and defend multiple positions at a high level makes her an ideal player in lineups with the Fever’s floor general.
Indiana acquired Natasha Howard last year to fill that role, but it’s unlikely the Fever can re-sign the veteran as she might secure better offers. Burrell, on the other hand, might be a cheaper alternative. She’s only 25 and has been a bench role player with limited usage.

Signing Rae Burrell isn’t as easy as it seems for Caitlin Clark’s Fever

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever must find a creative way to pursue Rae Burrell. While she’s a free agent, the Los Angeles Sparks have exclusive negotiating rights with her. She won’t be allowed to talk terms of a new deal with another team unless she’s released. The Sparks will likely re-sign her as she fits their timeline and had a promising season.

The Fever can pursue her by trading for her rights with an expansion team if the Sparks leave Burrell unprotected in the expansion draft. However, that seems unlikely, given Los Angeles’ wish to retain her.
